About

Terry’s Taxidermy & Wild Game Processing, located at 9201 W Reno Avenue in Oklahoma City, has grown from a single craftsman’s passion into one of the state’s largest and most established shops, serving Oklahoma hunters since 1982. Owner Terry Mayberry and a professional staff of taxidermists specialize in lifelike trophy mounts that capture the unique character of each animal, from first-buck deer and elk to African and exotic game, fish, birds, and reptiles. The operation also runs a USDA-approved wild game processing plant that turns deer, elk, hogs, and other legally taken game into custom cuts and specialty products such as jalapeño-and-cheese summer sausage, snack sticks, and breakfast sausage. Professional hide tanning and custom rugs complement the mount work, giving hunters a true one-stop destination that fills both the freezer and the wall. A 13,000-square-foot production facility, 2,500-square-foot showroom, and after-hours night-drop cooler keep the shop accessible throughout Oklahoma’s hunting seasons. Why we like Terry's Taxidermy & Wild Game Processing

Terry’s Taxidermy & Wild Game Processing earns a place at #1 among Oklahoma City taxidermy businesses because it combines nearly half a century of hands-on shop experience with a rare one-stop model that covers both the wall and the freezer. Owner Terry Mayberry and a professional staff work from a large production facility and showroom, mounting everything from a first buck or turkey to African and exotic game, fish, birds, and reptiles, while also professionally tanning hides and building custom rugs. The same campus houses USDA-approved wild game processing for deer, elk, hogs, and other legally taken game, including custom cuts and specialty products such as summer sausage, snack sticks, and breakfast sausage. Hunters are supported through peak seasons with extended hours and an after-hours night-drop cooler for field-dressed animals. The shop also stays visible in the local outdoor community by exhibiting at events such as the Backwoods Hunting and Fishing Expo, supporting conservation-group auctions, and serving as a participating processor for Hunters Against Hunger so donated venison can reach families in need.
